Customer Data Management and Reporting Capabilities Critical For AMI Success
Eka Systems’ Data Manager meter data management (MDM) system further leverages the powerful EkaNet™ AMI Network. The MDM provides a central data management and data storage platform that enables fundamental changes in how utilities operate by using the vast amounts of data that can be collected from the Eka AMI system. The MDM system synthesizes and analyzes data collected from the smart meter network and provides a centralized access point for integrating utility enterprise applications such as customer billing, asset management, outage detection, etc. utilizing web-services, Multi-Speak, ODBC, XML, flat files, amongst others.
With the data from our MDM system, utilities are able to implement demand response, time-of-use (TOU) pricing and other future smart grid applications. In addition, an associated Line Loss Reporting Analysis Software (LARS) allows utilities to identify the source for electric line losses. The LARS software allows utilities to monitor and mitigate electricity losses on the distribution lines, resulting in substantial savings to the utility.
